-According to geology news an issue dated Monday, November 20th,2006 there was a court session in Tenessee about mineral rights because one of the mineral rights owner was not allowed to dig on one of his own properties. They are not being allowed becasue there target is to dig sandstone and the surface rights owner is claiming that sandstone is not a mineral.( www.geology.com, Monday, November 20th,2006, Earth Science Current Events,2006).
 
-In Sand Andreas Fault near Gorman in California there is some sandstone present. In the picture provided their is grey metamorphic Quartz Monzonite is seen on the left of the fault which are rocks of the pacific plate and on the right side we can see brown sandstone and siltstone which is rocks of the North American plate.( www.geology.com) news.
 
-Did you know that most sandstone is composed of Quartz and/or feldspar because these are the common minerals in the earth's crust?
 
-Sanstone is a great material for making grindstones for sharpening blades.
 
-Rajasthan is the largest sandstone producer in India
 
-Madya Pradesh is the second largest.
 
-Other sandstone producing states of India are; Bihar, Gujrat, Karnataka, Tamil, Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Assamana, Meghalaya.
 
-Sandstone was especially important to make many architectural marvels dedicated to many king's reigns such as, King Fatehpur, Sikiri, Gutub Minar.
